Access to Devices on Campus

In addition to the laptops and PCs located in the classroom areas, students can also access a PC in our College libraries and Learning Hubs. Due to the current restrictions, you must book in to use this facility. You can do this by either emailing us on ldr@dundeeandangus.ac.uk, calling us on 01382 834813 or using our Study Zone online booking form.

Self Issue Laptops

To support your learning, when both off and on campus, the College has 276 laptops available to students to borrow across all three campuses. These are located in our new self issue cabinets located in the following lcoations:

Kingsway Campus: In the entrance lobby of the main building

Gardyne Campus: Outside the Help Points in the main building

Arbroath Campus: In the Isla Building main corridor, just outside the Learner Engagement/Help Point area

You can access a device for either 1 day or 2 weeks at a time. You will need your Student Card to be able to undertake this process.

Access to Wifi

If you have a mobile device or laptop within the College you may want to connect to Eduroam – our free wireless Wi-Fi service. Eduroam is accessible at most college and university campuses throughout the UK and will give you free access to the Internet whilst you are a student at the College.

To connect to Eduroam whilst on campus, select Eduroam from the WiFi options of your device.  For further support download our helpful guides below.

If you are using a shared college device (from a laptop cabinet in the library or classroom or from the LapSafe Cabinets) your device will connect to the DA Domain Wi-Fi network. Please use this on campus.

Long Term Device Loans

We have a small number of laptops available to students to borrow on a longer term basis, dependent on your circumstances. To apply for one of these devices, please complete the application form and a member of our Student Services team will contact you to confirm if your application has been successful or not.
